KUALA LUMPUR — Before blowing her candle hours prior to their championship match against RRQ Hoshi, RSG PH team manager Lexie Yambao only wished for one thing to celebrate her birthday.
And it’s for her boys to finally realize their dreams of winning the prestigious Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup title.
“Actually, yun lang din yung winish ko kanina nung nag-blow ako ng candle na sana matupad isa isa yung mga pangarap ng mga bata,” Lexie told Tiebreaker Times right after RSG PH’s 4-0 sweep of RRQ Hoshi in the grand finals.
“Para sa kanila talaga kasi yung boyfriend ko rin kasi professional player so alam ko yung feeling na ganito. So para sa kanila talaga yung wish ko,” added the former Bren Esports administrative assistant, who is also the girlfriend of Team Secret star Jim “Borkum” Timbreza.

RSG PH put on a dominant show in the regional meet, tallying a tournament-best 5-1 win-loss slate that saw them only drop four matches. The reigning MPL Philippines champion also just lost four in 18 games played throughout the tournament.
This also marked the second consecutive championship for RSG PH after winning the MPL Philippines Season Nine title just a month ago.
Now, the challenge for RSG PH is to remain consistent as they gun for back-to-back MPL Philippines titles this coming Season 10.
And after seeing the sudden fall of Bren Esports and just recently, Blacklist International, Lexie is already making sure that his boys are focused on the next task.
“Simula nung nag Season Nine MPL champion sila, parang simula no’n gina-guide namin sila kasi the biggest challenge talaga is kailangan maging consistent pa rin sila,” shared Lexie.
“So, sa darating na Season 10, kailangan ma-maintain namin yung ganung aura saka yung training hindi mawawala sa heart and utak nila.”
