Jaypee out to settle unfinished business with ECHO

Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz is set to settle some unfinished business with ECHO.

The 24-year-old two-time MPL Philippines champion took a break from the competitive scene after Season Seven to spend time with his family.

Indeed, it was a well-deserved break for Jaypee, who entered the league in Season Two before eventually leading Sunsparks to back-to-back titles in Season Four and Five — the first in the league.

Now that he has fulfilled his promise to his family, the former No Limit standout is finally making his much-anticipated comeback to the professional scene.

And it’s for one thing, and one thing only — a shot at the M4 World Championships.

Since leading Sunsparks to a 5th-6th place finish in the M1 World Championships, Jaypee has yet to return to the international stage, save for a few appearances in the Mytel Invitationals.

Jaypee, though, admitted that the road to the M series will be tougher as before considering the great strides that Filipino teams have made over the past years.

Still, he is confident that ECHO can get over the hump and clinch one of the two M4 slots this MPL Philippines Season 10.
