After almost losing its spot in the Dota Pro Circuit upper division, Execration has decided to release midlaner Argle “Ken” Llesis and offlaner Glenard “Rupido” Rugay, the organization announced Sunday.
Former Execration carry Fernando “Nando” Mendoza, who played as a stand-in in Execration’s match against 496 Gaming, will make his return as the squad’s offlaner while Vice Esports carry Jinn “Palos” Lamatao will jump ship to the LuponWxC-backed squad and play the carry role in Season Two.
With the development, Yuri “Yowe” Pacaña will revert back to his original role in the middle lane.
“Yuri Dave ‘YoweDota’ Pacana will be officially moving back to his original role as Midlaner. We are welcoming back two returnees which you already saw him standing-in as carry but this time Fernando ‘Nando’ Mendoza will be joining us back as our Offlaner while we also welcome back Jinn ‘Palos’ Lamatao to amplify us and become our carry,” Execration’s statement read.
“We would like to thank Argle ‘Ken’ Llesis and Glenard ‘Rupido’ Rugay as these young rising stars showed us how capable they are as they helped us bring home some trophies, we wish them luck on the next path of their journey.”
Supports Carlo “BDz” Manalo and Ralph Richard “RR” Peñano will be retained by the squad.
Execration had a rousing start to its season after taking down Filipino powerhouse TNC Predator. But everything went down from there, as they dropped four consecutive matches before snapping the skid against 496 Gaming.
Despite capping off Season One with a loss to Vice Esports, Execration’s 2-5 record managed to land them at the sixth spot which kept them in the upper division.
Execration will join Fnatic, Neon Esports, T1, TNC, Boom Esports, Omega Esports, and Lilgun in the upper division in Season Two.
