DOJ says it has yet to receive complaint vs Aldin Ayo

Department of Justice secretary Boy Guevarra stressed that his agency has not started its investigations on former University of Santo Tomas head coach Aldin Ayo regarding the alleged “bubble training camp” he held in Sorsogon from June to August.

The agency has yet to receive a formal complaint.

“As far as I know, no sworn complaint in a proper form as required for preliminary investigation has been received by the DOJ,” Atty. Guevarra told the Manila Bulletin.

In an interview with Power & Play last Saturday, UAAP executive director Rebo Saguisag said that the league is in “status quo” regarding Ayo receiving an indefinite ban.

“Some government agency has taken cognizance of the case para hindi rin kami conflicting. CHED has already begun its investigation, as well as the DOJ and other agencies,” said Saguisag, as the UAAP based its decision on UST’s investigation.

Last September, the Commission on Higher Education submitted its report on the incident to DOJ. DOJ has returned the report to CHED.

The Philippine National Police of Sorsogon and governor Chiz Escudero have concluded that Ayo did not violate any protocols.
