Kouame-less Gilas loses to Tunisia in King’s Cup third place game

Gilas Pilipinas fell short against Tunisia, 68-80, to conclude its 10th King Abdullah Cup campaign, Sunday night at the Prince Hamzah Sport Hall in Amman, Jordan.

The Filipino dribblers rallied from 16 points down and knocked within just three with less than five minutes left to play, but Omar Abada and Jahwer Jahadi conspired to save the 2017 Afrobasket champs and finish the tilt at third place.

Carl Tamayo had 14 points and six rebounds, while SJ Belangel added 12 markers for Gilas in the defeat.

Angelo Kouame did not play in the game.
