Durham, Niigata snap San-En’s three-game streak in B.League

Thirdy Ravena and San-En were sent crashing down by Allen Durham and Niigata, bowing 79-86, in the 2020-21 B.League Season, Sunday at Toyohashi City Gymnasium.

The three-time UAAP Most Valuable Player played 17 minutes in the game, finishing with 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting with four rebounds and an assist.

However, Ravena was not on the floor in the last two minutes of the game after he botched a supposed rebound that led to a Rosco Allen bucket that gave Albirex BB a 79-73 lead.

Though Nenad Millenovic tried to keep NeoPhoenix alive, Allen Durham powered his way to the paint, eventually pushing his side to the biggest lead of the game, 85-75 with 1:09 left.

The loss snapped San-En’s three-game winning streak, dropping the home team to a 5-18 slate in the West District.

Niigata, on the other hand, went up to 7-16 in the East.

Allen led Niigata with 21 points and 10 rebounds while Durham scattered 17 points and 11 rebounds for Niigata.

Jason Washburn led Niigata with 22 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field.

Stevan Jerovatu paced NeoPhoenix with 24 points and nine rebounds.

Also scoring 10 markers each for San-En were Hayato Kawashima and Millenovic.

Kyle Hunt did not play in the game.

San-En will next face Akita Northern Happinets (13-9) on December 26 on the road.
