Janus outclassed KarlTzy to power Cignal Ultra’s 2-0 upset of BREN Epro in The Nationals Season Two Mobile Legends: Bang Bang conference, Friday evening.
The rookie core player kept the Warriors (10-11) in the playoff race, forging a last-minute tie with Laus Auto Group Playbook Esports (9-9) at the third spot with 12 points.
Janus put up eye-popping numbers of 14 kills and 13 assists in the series-clinching Game Two using Ling. He impressively avoided death in the match that lasted for 22 minutes and one second.
Cignal team captain ImbaDeejay, on the other hand, had six kills, eight deaths, and 12 assists using Eudora. ImbaDeejay was the one responsible for limiting KarlTzy’s movements which prevented BREN Epro from mounting a major comeback.
Rhea (Benedetta) pumped in three kills, three deaths, and 11 assists while Bensanity (Jawhead) had three kills, four deaths, and 13 assists in Game Two.
Meanwhile, KarlTzy was held to just four kills, six deaths, and seven assists using his signature Lancelot. Ribo, on the other hand, was the lone bright spot for BREN Epro with six kills, three deaths, and three assists with his Alice.
Despite the loss, BREN Epro (12-10) remained at the second spot with 15 points tied with STI.
In the other game, STI boosted its playoffs bid with a 2-0 sweep of Happy Feet.
STI (11-9), who is now tied with BREN Epro at second place, has 15 points in total — three points ahead of third runners Cignal and Playbook. Meanwhile, the also-ran Happy Feet fell to a 3-16 slate for three points.
