LF Adoption and GrindSky Eris will be the Philippines’ representative for the League of Legends: Wild Rift event in the 31st Southeast Asian Games after topping their respective divisions in the SIBOL National Team Selection powered by SMART, Friday night.
The former will compose the country’s men’s team while the latter will comprise the women’s team in Wild Rift’s first-ever appearance in the biennial meet.
GrindSky Eris dispatched GGTY via a 3-1 decision in the grand finals of the women’s event while LF Adoption swept Fennel Adversity, the lone direct invitee, through a 3-0 outing in the men’s finale.
“Sobrang thankful po kasi nag start po kami talagang ano… ayun nga po ang pangit ng nangyari sa amin, pero ayun nga nakaabot pa rin kami sa ganito kahit ganun yung situation namin,” said LF Adoption’s ecilA, who finished with a kill, two deaths, and six assists in the series-clinching 11-6 Game Three win. “Kahit hiwalay hiwalay kami tapos may mga problems.
“May problema rin po ako sa device ko kasi yung cellphone ko nag e-FPS drop talaga. Matagal na po sa akin. Pero okay lang kasi nakaabot na rin po,” he added.
The GrindSky-backed women’s squad is composed of Hell Girl, Aeae, Rayray, Yugen, and Jeeya.
Meanwhile, LF Adoption is bannered by ecilA, Renzy, Fdae, DemonKite, and Dragon.
Five days ago, SIBOL named Blacklist International as the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang representative after taking out Nexplay EVOS, 4-1, in the grand finals.
On the other hand, CrossFire will begin its second phase on February 12, Saturday while the registration for FIFA Online 4, League of Legends, Arena of Valor, and Free Fire are currently on-going.
