Matt Nieto’s next journey begins on Friday.
The 6-foot-1 floor general has signed a three-year deal with NLEX on Tuesday.
The signing happened at Mt. Fuji Japanese Restaurant in Guiguinto, Bulacan.
The 24-year-old product of Ateneo was accompanied by his parents Girlie and Jet. Representing NLEX were president Rod Franco, team manager Ronald Dulatre, and head coach Yeng Guiao.
For the last two years, Nieto had been playing for Gilas, norming 6.0 points and 4.7 assists during the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers.
Nieto will be pivotal in the Road Warriors’ campaign as he tries to help fill the void left by Kiefer Ravena.
Nieto will make his PBA debut on Friday when NLEX faces Meralco at 3:00PM.
