Aura takes top spot in MPL-PH A, sweeps skidding Omega

Aura PH rose to the top spot of Group A after dispatching the struggling Smart Omega Esports via a 2-0 sweep in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Seven regular season, Sunday night.

The two-time MPL-Philippines champion now has 11 points through a 4-1 standing.

Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz’s role switch proved to do wonders once more for Aura PH, as his tank Chou enabled the two-time champions’ 20-6 Game One domination of Omega.

Mark “Lord Hadess” Lazaro stepped on the gas come Game Two, unleashing a monster Harley performance to seal the 2-0 victory for Aura PH.

Lord Hadess provided the bulk of the dame for Aura PH in Game Two as he finished with a perfect 6-0-9 kill-death-assist tally in the 19-3 win.

Christian “Rafflesia” Fajura (Benedetta) added six kills and six assists while Allen “Greed_” Baloy (Selena) chipped in four kills and six assists against a death.

The Smart-backed squad slid to the fourth spot in Group B with seven points and a 2-3 standing.

Aura PH will take on Cignal Ultra on Saturday at 4:30 pm while Omega Esports will try to get back at the win column on the same day at 6:00 pm against Blacklist International.
