Jack Animam in the US, training with EWP

Jack Animam will try her luck in the States.

Two months after winning her sixth collegiate championship in Taiwan, Animam has flown to Ohio to train with East West Private.

EWP posted a photo of Animam with Cholo Anonuevo and Kobe Paras, Monday evening (Manila time).

At just 22 years young, Animam already boasts the most decorated resume for a Filipina basketball player.

The 6-foot-2 native of Bulacan owns six collegiate championships — five in the UAAP and one with the UBA.

Her trophy case includes two Southeast Asian Gold medals, the UAAP Season 80 Most Valuable Player trophy, UAAP Season 81 Finals MVP plum, four All-UAAP team citations, UAAP Season 78 Rookie of the Year, and the first-ever PSA Ms. Basketball award.

She also ended her collegiate career unblemished, owning a 96-0 record.

After ending her collegiate career, Animam had already hinted at making a move that will make her closer to the WNBA dream.

“Siyempre, lahat ng athlete, gusto ma-reach ‘yung highest league kung anuman meron sa sports nila. WNBA is always a dream. I still have a long, long, long way to go,” she said.

“I’m just focusing on the things I can reach which hopefully leads me to the WNBA dream.”

Now, she is as close as ever to reaching it.
