Work Auster escapes Playbook, remains in contention for MPL PH upper bracket

Work Auster Force averted an upset against Laus Playbook Esports, 2-1, to keep its upper bracket hopes alive in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Seven regular season, Sunday afternoon.

The win puts Work in contention for the last upper bracket slot in Group A with 23 points through an 8-5 record. But a win from Bren Esports later against Smart Omega Esports will relegate Work down the lower bracket.

“Yung Game One po ano, parang yung napagusapan kagabi na draft naiba… Pahinga lang kami onti, tapos practice agad,” said Daniel “Chuuu” Chu.

“Bawi na lang next season sa [LPE] good luck na lang sa career niyo,” added Chuuu.

Work, who was vying for a spot in the upper bracket, failed to establish a footing in the match as Playbook kept on gunning with their high-tempo composition.
