Duckeyyy to coach Sibol ML team, says good pal Z4pnu

Will Bren Esports’ Francis “Duckeyyy” Glindro call the shots for Sibol’s Mobile Legends team in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam?

Well, it looks like it.

This, as Execration’s Billy “Z4pnu” Alfonso, a close friend of Duckeyyy and his Bren Esports squad, confirmed the development on his Youtube vlog titled SEA GAMES LINEUP which was posted on Wednesday night.

“Si Coach Duckeyyy yung maghahawak sa SEA Games, siya naman talaga e, dati pa. Siya talaga yung maghahawak,” said Z4pnu on his vlog that also saw him give his take on who should be part of the SEA Games roster.

If Z4pnu’s statements were true, it would be a welcome addition for Sibol since Duckeyyy boasts a ton of experience on both the local and international stage.

The Bren Esports coach first started his journey in Indonesia, where he was tapped by REVO to be their chief tactician. But when REVO decided to disband, Duckeyyy was picked up by its sister squad EVOS Legends as part of its coaching staff.

That EVOS Legends call-up proved to be the game-changer for Duckeyyy, as he helped the squad top the MPL-Indonesia Season Four title while also guiding the team to the first-ever Mobile Legends World Championship.

After his overseas stint, Duckeyyy then made his return to the Philippines after being lured by the Bren Esports camp to coach its Mobile Legends team composed of the country’s brightest stars.

Though his first foray in the local league ended in a third-place finish, Duckeyyy soon claimed the title with Bren Esports in Season Six before steering the squad to the second world championship.

Back in 2019, Playbook’s Brian “Panda” Lim steered Sibol ML to gold.

Composing his team were Jeniel “Haze” Bata-Anon, Angelo Kyle “Pheww” Arcangel, Allan Sancio “Lusty” Castromayor, Karl Gabriel “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, Kenneth Jiane “Kenji” Villa, Carlito “Ribo” Jr., and Jason Rafael “Jay” Torculas.
