Karl “Karl” Jayme’s T1 dropped a tightly contested Game Three against Boom Esports to absorb its second loss via a 2-1 decision in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season Two-Southeast Asia upper division, Thursday.
A clash near the Roshan pit saw Rafli “Mikoto” Rahman (Tiny), through the help of Brizio “Hyde” Putra (Snapfire), take down the full-packed Phantom Assassin of Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon entering the 56-minute mark.
Karl (Puck) tried to aid his ally but it was already too late.
With the T1 carry down for more than two minutes, the Indonesians secured the Roshan and ended the match right after.
Randy “Dreamocel” Sapoetra’s Medusa put up a monster line of 18 kills and 18 assists against just two deaths in the 46-32 Game Three win which lasted for 57 minutes and 27 seconds.
Mikoto added 12 kills and 15 assists against six deaths while Hyde recorded a game-high 23 assists with five kills and nine deaths for Boom Esports.
On the other hand, the South Korean squad was led by Karl with 15 kills, six deaths, and nine assists while 23savage was held to just seven kills, seven deaths, and five assists.
Mikoto’s Ember Spirit in Game One powered Boom Esports’ strong opener to draw first blood, but the Morphling of 23savage put on a show in Game Two to tie the series at 1-all.
Boom Esports moved to the second spot with a 3-2 standing while T1 is currently at the seventh spot with a 1-2 record in the upper division.
Boom Esports and T1 will face the same opponent in Filipino powerhouse TNC Predator on Saturday and Wednesday, respectively.
