Marvin “Boomy” Rushton and Jun “Bok” Kanehara scored one over their former teammates as TNC handed Omega Esports its first loss via a 2-0 sweep in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021 Season Two-Southeast Asia upper division, Wednesday.
Armel “Armel” Tabios’ Tiny spearheaded the charge in Game One, unleashing 17 kills and 10 assists against just two deaths through a 20,663 total net worth in the match that lasted for 36 minutes and 16 seconds.
TNC carry Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte went perfect with his Spectre. He finished with eight kills and 17 assists along with a game-high 25,381-net worth.
The Cebuano duo of Boomy (Lion) and Bok (Legion Commander) had a combined total of seven kills, 35 assists, and nine deaths in the 36-14 Game One domination of the Predators.
Omega midlaner Mc Nicholson “Mac” Villanueva (Puck), who has been playing consistently in Omega’s first two matches, was held to just five kills, nine deaths, and five assists.
The Smart-backed squad fought back in Game Two, but could not overcome the wrath of Bok’s Clockwerk.
The Southeast Asian Games gold medalist registered 14 kills and 11 assists against just four deaths in the 37-21 Game Two victory. Bok finished the match with an Aghanhims scepter and Blademail.
The Armel-Gabbi 1-2 punch also did damage in Game Two. The former put up 11 kills and 17 assists against just two deaths with his Bristleback while the latter had 10 kills, four deaths, and 13 assists playing Queen of Pain.
TNC support Timothy “Tims” Randrup’s Io scored a game-high 23 assists along with just two deaths in Game Two, which lasted for just 32 minutes and 47 seconds.
The win put TNC at the number one spot with a 2-0 record – tied with Indonesian squad Boom Esports. Meanwhile, Omega will go down the third seat with a 2-1 record.
TNC will next face Southeast Asia rising star OB Esports x Neon on Saturday, April 24 while Omega Esports will try and bounce back against fellow Filipino squad Execration on Wednesday, April 28.
