T1 failed to build on their massive Game Two win, falling to title-favorites PSG.LGD in three games, 1-2, in the upper bracket of The International 10, Wednesday night.
Malaysian midlaner Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang’s Ember Spirit was all over the place in Game Three. He flaunted a monster KDA line of 11 kills and 15 assists without a single death in the 32-9 stomp which lasted for 37 minutes and 25 seconds.
T1 was off to a strong start in the clincher, initiating a gank on Wang “Ame” Chunyu’s Ursa. However, NothingToSay came out of nowhere to take an even great exchange – securing the triple kill on Carlo “Kuku” Palad (Venomancer), Kenny “Xepher” Deo (Elder Titan), and Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon (Disruptor).
That kick-started PSG.LGD’s hot start and never looked back.
Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon led (Spectre) T1 in the loss with five kills, six deaths, and four assists. On the other hand, Kuku and Karl struggled – combining for just two kills, 15 deaths, and six assists.
The South Korean squad had a slow start in Game One, losing all three lanes to PSG.LGD. Then Karl “Karl” Jayme’s Lina, through the rotating Whitemon (Crystal Maiden) and Xepher (Weaver), bounced back off a triple kill in the middle lane.
Still, that was not enough to bridge the gap between the Southeast Asian squad and the Chinese team, with the latter ending the match in just 34 minutes and 57 seconds.
Ame’s Terrorblade led PSG.LGD with 12 kills and six assists without a single death in the 27-15 victory.
T1 showed up in Game Two with Kuku’s Magnus leading the win that featured a crazy 10-man buyback from both squads. He finished with two kills, two deaths, and 17 assists in the win.
PSG.LGD will face the winner between the Vici Gaming-Virtus.pro match. Meanwhile, T1 will go up against Alliance in the second round of the lower bracket.
