Fran Yu’s off-season journey has taken him from Zamboanga to Batangas and, now, Pasig.
The NCAA Season 95 Seniors Basketball Finals MVP has been added by Pasig-Sta. Lucia as a special guest player for the 2021 Chooks-to-Go Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Invitational Tournament next month.
“Sobrang nakaka-excite kasi bagong liga na naman ito,” said Yu, who played for Zamboanga in the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup and Batangas in amateur league Filbasket.
“Hindi naman nakakapagod kasi matagal din akong hindi nakapaglaro,” he continued about signing with a new team.
The Realtors will still keep their core that played in the preseason league as Jeric Teng, Justin Arana, Cedrick Ablaza, Jeo Ambohot, Jeckster Apinan, Jhaps Bautista, Tyron Chan, Ryan Costelo, Rudy Lingganay, Yvan Ludovice, Tristan Medina, and Erwin Van Pena are all set for a return.
Other new signings for Pasig are La Union’s Jayson Apolonio, King Calaripio, Chris Dumapig, Marty Espiritu, Allen Mina, and Mark Sangalang.
Pasig is slotted in Pool A with Iloilo, Bacolod, Negros, and Bacoor.
