ONIC PH lets go of Baloyskie as wave of releases continue

An hour after the release of Marky “Markyyyyy” Carpaccio, ONIC PH announced the departure of team captain Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy on Monday night.

Following a three-season stint with Sunsparks and Aura PH, the 23-year-old Baloyskie made his return to ONIC PH in the MPL Philippines Season Eight. He led ONIC PH to a couple of grand finals appearances in Season Eight and in the M3 World Championships. There, they fell prey to Blacklist International both times.

ONIC PH was supposed to dominate Season Nine, but fell short and finished in fourth place.

Baloyskie, who struggled early in the season, finished second-best in assists with 7.67 per game, alongside 1.17 kills and 4.52 assists per outing for a KDA of 1.96. He topped the league in total assists tallied with 353.

It has been a rough couple of weeks for the organization and its players. ONIC PH, in an interview with Spin.ph, announced that they will undergo a full rebuild for Season 10 which left its remaining players scrambling to find a team.

Baloyskie and Markyyyyy both announced on their respective Twitter accounts that they already found new homes for the upcoming season. Meanwhile, the status of Jaylord “Hatred” Gonzales, Gerald “Dlarskie” Trinchera, and Nowee “Ryota” Macasa remains uncertain.

Earlier in the day, ONIC Esports – ONIC PH’s parent company based in Indonesia – announced that it has signed both Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol and coach Denver “Yeb” Miranda.
