The trade deadline for the ongoing 2022 PBA Philippine passed by on Friday with no transactions from any of the 12 member teams.
In a league memo obtained by Tiebreaker Times, the league set a deadline of Friday, July 8 at 5:00 PM for any trades.
However, no deal was closed.
From now until the end of the conference, teams will only be allowed to tweak their lineups by activating a player from their reserve list.
Teams can still pick up unrestricted free agents until before the playoffs begin.
Trades have been few and far between since the season formally opened during the PBA Rookie Draft back on May 15.
There was also Converge trading Yousef Taha to Blackwater for Kurt Lojera, Northport acquiring MJ Ayaay from Ginebra for a future second round pick, and Converge trading Robbie Herndon to San Miguel for two future second round picks.
Once the Philippine Cup ends, expect a flurry of trades as the market re-opens.
