Voice of Chooks 3×3 Sudan Daniel, 33, passes away

San Beda great and voice of Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 Sudan Daniel (December 17, 1987-December 26, 2020) has passed away, Saturday.

He was just 33 years old.

The American celebrated the holidays with twins Anthony and David Semerad in Calatagan, Batangas.

Daniel had an asthma attack Saturday that was the cause of death.

He was rushed to Calatagan Medicare Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Celebrated was the career of Daniel in San Beda.

Daniel made his debut in Season 85, winning Rookie of the Year honors.

Back in NCAA Season 86, the 6-foot-7 big man won both Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year honors, leading the Red Lions to an 18-0 sweep and the championship.

He missed the following year due to an ACL tear.

After his playing years, Daniel remained in the country, being a skills coach for some of the country’s brightest prospects.

In 2019, Daniel became the master of ceremony for Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 together with Mike Swift.

He is survived by one daughter.
