Petro Gazz has bid farewell to five of its players, letting them enter free agency in the Premier Volleyball League.
Gone from the Angels are 5-foot-7 outside hitter Jonah Sabete; middle blockers 6-foot Jeanette Panaga and 5-foot-11 Cherry Nunag; 5-foot-9 opposite hitter Kai Nepomuceno-Baloaloa; and 5-foot-8 outside hitter Jovie Prado.

Sabete, a product of Bulacan State University, had been with the Angels since the 2018 Open Conference. She became a revelation there, becoming one of the lead spikers of the squad with her all-around game.
Nunag has been with the squad since it made its debut in 2018. The 28-year-old was the 2nd Best Middle Blocker during the 2019 Reinforced Conference.
Panaga joined the team in 2019. She was the 2nd Best Middle Blocker of the 2019 Open Conference.
Prado, an Arellano Lady Chief, also joined the team in 2019. She made an instant impact that resulted in her winning the 2019 Open Conference 1st Best Outside Spiker.
Nepomuceno-Baloaloa was one of the very first pick-ups of the team. The former NU Lady Bulldog was signed by the Angels after the disbandment of Pocari Sweat.
Sources have told Tiebreaker Times that Nunag is set to join Perlas while Panaga is set to sign with Creamline.
Petro Gazz is also set to beef up its roster.
Already with the team are Grethcel Soltones, Jerrili Malabanan, and Ivy Perez.
Petro Gazz also has its sights in the PSL free agency pool. One of the players the Angels are trying to sign is Generika-Ayala’s decorated libero Kath Arado.
