Motolite has released all its players, Monday afternoon.
According to team insiders, the two-year-old franchise had gathered all of their players through a online video conference to say that they are letting them go.
This means that all of their players are now free agents, headlined by the trio of former league Most Valuable Player Myla Pablo, decorated setter Iris Tolenada, and defensive gem Melissa Gohing.
Also looking for teams now are Isa Molde, Ayel Estranero, Chloe Cortez, Jellie Tempiatura, Jessma Ramos, Bern Flora, Fhen Emnas, Grazielle Bombita, and Mela Tunay.
Last January 8, Motolite said that it was taking a pandemic-related league of absence from the Premier Volleyball League. It would have meant that teams seeking the services of their players would have to ask for a buyout.
Coach Godfrey Okumu and Angeli Tabaquero were also released.
After not making the semifinals in the 2019 Reinforced Conference, Motolite bounced back in the next tournament, finishing in fourth place during the Open Conference.
Motolite’s first team in the PVL was backing the Ateneo Lady Eagles during the 2018 Open Conference.
