UAAP 82 Boys MVP Figueroa chooses to stay in Adamson

Jake Figueroa has decided to stay in the school that has become his home over the last two years.

The reigning UAAP High School Boys’ Basketball Most Valuable Player will stay in Adamson University for college.

The 18-year-old confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times.

Figueroa averaged 13.19 points, 14.19 rebounds, 3.13 assists, 1.56 steals, and 1.56 blocks in his only year in Adamson high school. Besides winning MVP honors, he also led the Baby Falcons to a third place finish.

Due to the cancellation of the UAAP Season 83 tournament, the Baby Falcons could not continue their ascent. And with Matty Erolon and Joshua Barcelona also opting to stay in Adamson, Figueroa made sure that he can continue to battle with them.

Other schools that tried to recruit him are University of Santo Tomas and University of the East.

In college, the 6-foot-3 big vows that he will do whatever is needed by the Soaring Falcons.

Ngayong college, kailangan ko mag-double effort pa,” said Figueroa who is planning to take a course in Business Management in college.
