B.League: Carino returns from injury as Aomori absorbs beatdown from FE Nagoya

Aomori experienced its fourth straight loss after being romped by Nagoya, 64-109, in the 2021-22 B.League Division II season, Saturday at the Aomori Prefectural Budo-kan.

Kemark Carino, who missed last week’s games due to a sprained ankle, played four minutes in the contest. The San Beda product was forced to commit two turnovers in the short time he played.

And the Wat’s firepower could not keep up with the battery of the Flying Eagles, especially in the second frame.

The duo of Luke Evans and Brian Qvale connived in leading Nagoya’s 37-point second frame. They also anchored their defense that limited Aomori to just 15 points.

By the half, Aomori was already behind 35-60.

The Nagoya lead went to as high as 46 points.

Qvale led the now-19-3 Flying Eagles with 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field. Evans added 19 points on 7-of-8 shooting.

Jeremy Jones also got 16 points and seven rebounds while Andrew Randall chipped in 11 points.

Aomori fell to 2-20.

Hayate Komosawa paced Aomori with 20 points and two steals. Renaldo Dixon and Kiichi Kikuyama got 11 points each.

The two teams meet again tomorrow.
