ONIC Philippines made quick work of RSG SG, 3-0, to advance to the upper bracket semifinals of the M3 World Championship Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, Sunday afternoon.
Gerald “Dlarskie” Trinchera’s Uranus proved to be the biggest headache for RSG SG in the opener, with the ONIC PH skipper leading the 9-8 win in 15 minutes and 42 seconds.
Dlarskie ended up with a kill, a death, and four assists on his signature hero to lead ONIC PH to a swift 1-0 advantage.
Taking the spotlight in Game Two was Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol’s Yi Sun-Shin.
The pride of Limay, Bataan provided four kills and eight assists against just one death in the 15-10 Game Two win in just 12 minutes and 13 seconds.
Kairi then came through once more in ONIC PH’s come-from-behind 15-20 Game Three win.
He finished with eight kills, five deaths, and six assists in the 22:07-minute match.
ONIC PH will take on the winner of the RRQ-Todak match in the upper bracket semis on Wednesday.
