Dalph Panopio played just 13 minutes in CSU Bakersfield’s 61-57 escape of Ivy League’s Dartmouth, Wednesday morning (Manila time) at the Roadrunners’ home gym in Bakersfield, California.
In his short time on the court, Panopio had two points on 1-of-3 shooting from the field with two rebounds and an assist.
It was Justin McCall who saved the day for the Roadrunners.
CSUB took a 57-56 lead with 2:24 to play on a Justin Edler-Davis made jumper.
Dartmouth tried to gain the lead but McCall was able to swat away their attempt. McCall grabbed the ball and picked up a foul, sending Bakersfield’s big man to the free throw line. He would hit a pair of shots to seal their fifth win in nine games.
David Walker added 11 points from off-the-bench duties for CSUB.
Brendan Barry led the Ivy League school with 19 points while Garrison Wade added 12.
CSUB will welcome Cal State Fullerton on December 31 (Manila time).
