B.League: Parks posts all-around line as Nagoya extends streak to seven

Bobby Ray Parks was all over the place in Nagoya’s 87-73 win over Kyoto in the 2021-22 B.League season, Sunday at Dolphins Arena.

The three-time ASEAN Basketball League Most Valuable Player posted 12 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals, steering the Diamond Dolphins to a 16-7 record in the west.

Holding a 43-40 lead entering the third canto, the Diamond Dolphins bullied the Hannaryz in the paint, outrebounding them 15-6, while limiting them to just 15 points to gain a 64-55 lead.

Nagoya continued to pump it up in the final frame, leading by as much as 20 points, 85-65, after a Coty Clarke jumper.

Coty Clarke and Scott Eatherton both had 14 points to lead Nagoya’s balanced attack with Eatherton also grabbing nine rebounds.

Rob Dozier added 10 points and eight rebounds.

Kyoto, who fell to 3-20, was led by Justin Harper, who had 28 points and 12 rebounds in 40 minutes of action. Jerome Tillman added 16 points but committed seven turnovers.

Parks and Nagoya will face Osaka on Wednesday at Ookini Arena.
