
Remy Martin had himself a good outing in Kansas’ 95-75 win over St. John’s, Saturday (Manila time) at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.
Martin had 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting with five assists and two rebounds.
But it was junior guard Christian Braun who led the way, tallying a career-high 31 points.
Leading by just three, 64-61, against the Red Storm, the Jayhawks went on a blistering 22-3 rally to break the game wide open. Braun ended the run with four straight free throws.
Ochai Agbaji added 23 points and seven rebounds for the 6-1 Jayhawks while David McCormack added 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Julian Champagnie led the 5-2 St. John’s with 24 points and eight rebounds while Posh Alexander and Dylan Addae-Wusu had 16 points each.
Kansas will host University of Texas at El Paso on Wednesday.
