Ronda Pilipinas co-founder Moe Chulani, 45, passes away

One of the biggest backers of local cycling, Moe Chulani, has passed away due to cardiac arrest, this Sunday.

He was 45.

Chulani was the driving force behind the LBC Ronda Pilipinas, which staged its 10th anniversary race in March last year.

He was also a member of the PhilCycling board.

Under his watch, Ronald Oranza, George Oconer, and Jan Paul Morales were able to find jobs while continuing their passion for cycling.

But it’s not just in cycling that Chulani was able to leave a mark.

During the days of the Metropolitan Basketball League, Chulani was the team manager of the Pasig Pirates.

“He’s a loss in the cycling community. He’s very dedicated to cycling,” said Philippine Olympic Committee and PhilCycling president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino.
