Mark “ESON” Gerardo’s Franco in Game Three towed Blacklist International’s 2-1 reverse sweep of Aura PH in their Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Seven debut, Sunday evening.
The former MPL-Philippines champion finished with eight assists and two kills against one death in Blacklist International’s 16-7 Game Three. ESON notched the MVP plum for the game-clincher.
His well-timed hooks gave Blacklist International a bunch of openings to scale into the late-game. This includes two crucial hooks on Allen “Greed_” Baloy’s Chang’e and Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz’s Lancelot which completely turned the tables around for the Blacklist International.
Blacklist International rookie Kiel “OHEB” Soriano, who was a non-factor in the first two matches, spearheaded the offensive strike with nine kills and four assists against a death with his Harith.
Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario (Yi Sun-Shin) added three kills, a death, and seven assists, while Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna (Yve) chipped in 13 assists along with a kill and three deaths.
On the other side, Jaypee was the lone bright spot for Aura PH in Game Three with a 4-2-2 line playing Lancelot.
Back in Game One, Bennedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales’Alice took care of Blacklist International’s backline as Aura PH opened up the series with a lopsided 15-4 victory.
ESON’s Tigreal failed to establish footing in the early game, while the Karrie-Rafaela combo of Wise and OhMyV33NUS fell prey to the aggressive Aura PH composition.
After playing on the defensive end in the opener, OhMyV33NUS spearheaded the offensive side in Game Two by prioritizing the Thunder Belt and the Demon Hunter Sword with his Popol and Kupa.
OhMyV33NUS, along with Eson’s Atlas, paved the way for Blacklist International to even the series via a dominant 17-5 Game Two win.
The Tier One-backed squad will share the pole position in Group B with Execration as they boast identical 1-0 slates while Aura PH will move to the second seat in Group A with a 1-1 standing.
Blacklist International will be gunning for its third win against Playbook on March 27, Saturday, at 6:00 p.m. while Aura PH looks to recover against defending champion BREN Esports on the same day at 4:00 p.m.
