Boomy, Bok shine in TNC debut

The new-look TNC Predator squad passed their debut with flying colors after a 31-15 annihilation of Galaxy Racer in the opening match of the Asia Pacific Predator League 2020-21 Grand Final on Tuesday afternoon.

Former Omega Esports players and Southeast Asian Games gold medalists Marvin “Boomy” Rushton and Jun “Bok” Kanehara proved themselves worthy of their spots, providing TNC with perfect initiations playing Clockwerk and Mars, respectively, to help the squad dominate the best-of-one match-up.

The former finished with a game-high 22 assists along with three kills and five deaths while the latter registered five kills and 19 assists against four deaths in the match.

TNC resident midlaner Armel “Armel” Tabios spearheaded the offensive strike with a 14-1-8 kill-death-assist tally playing Leshrac while carry Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte added five kills and 17 assists against two deaths.

The 22-year-old carry was also able to pick up the Divine Rapier in the match that lasted for just 29 minutes and five seconds.

TNC Predator bucked a slow start on their way to dominating the DPC lower division squad.

Vincent “AlaCrity” Hiew Teck Yoong led the way for Galaxy Racer with four kills, four deaths, and eight assists with Void Spirit.

TNC will be advancing to the upper bracket quarterfinals against PTSR on Wednesday.
