VisMin postpones Thursday slate

ALCANTARA — Management of the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup has decided to postpone the games on Thursday pending the resolution of the issues surrounding the controversial game between the ARQ Builders—Lapu Lapu City Heroes and the Siquijor Mystics.

Originally slated for the day was another triple-header.

Opening the game day at the Civic Center here was the KCS Computer Specialist-Mandaue taking on the Tabogon Voyagers at 2:00PM. Following it up were tilts between MJAS Zenith-Talisay squaring off against Siquijor and Tubigon Bohol facing Dumaguete.

However, league secretary-general Chelito Caro and the technical team of the league have deemed to postpone the day’s scheduled affairs as it is still in the process of resolving the controversial game that happened last Wednesday.

Allegations of game-fixing were raised on the tilt pitting the Heroes and the Mystics that saw numerous questionable moments before it was stopped at halftime with a score of 27-13 in favor of Lapu-Lapu.

A power interruption that led to the internet in the venue only returning only during the midway point of the opening quarter of Wednesday’s second game was the reason given by the league for the stoppage.

The Games and Amusements Board are also tackling the matter as of publishing.

An announcement is set to be made by Chief Operating Officer Rocky Chan regarding their verdict on its investigation at 12:00nn.

The league assured that the games will continue on Friday at 4:00 PM. with the KCS Computer Specialist-Mandaue City taking on the Tabogon Voyagers followed by the tiff between the Tubigon Bohol Mariners and the Dumaguete Warriors at 7:00 PM.
