Blacklist International recovered from a late mishap to turn back ECHO via a 2-1 result for its fourth-straight win in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight, Sunday afternoon.
Already ahead in the crucial Game Three, the Tier One-backed squad almost dropped the ball after a botched clash inside ECHO’s jungle saw the men in blue take over the match, even taking the Luminous Lord past the 12-minute mark.
Blacklist International, though, showed composure late – ganging up on a retreating ECHO which resulted in a four-man wipe and eventually, the win.
Kiel “OHEB” Soriano nabbed the SMART 5G MVP award on his Alice with five kills and four assists against just two deaths in the 15-10 Game Three win which ran for 12 minutes and 46 seconds.

“Nag adjust lang, nag adjust kami sa picks. Normal lang naman yun e, [yung matalo] sa laro,” said Edward “Edward” Dapadap after the win.
With the win, Blacklist International took the top spot with a league-best nine points through a perfect 4-0 win-loss slate.
Perfect initiations from Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna’s Kaja plus great sustain and damage from Edward’s Phoveus proved to be the key for Blacklist International in the 25-13 Game One win.
While Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales’ Alice gave ECHO a huge boost, it was not enough as the Tier One-backed squad powered through multiple clashes anchored by OhMyV33NUS and Edward.
OhMyV33NUS initiated the perfect haymaker on ECHO when he used his Conceal to get near Bennyqt at the top lane before popping his Divine Judgement as Salic “Hadji” Imam (Kagura) and Edward burst the ECHO star for the win.
Edward was named the SMART 5G MVP with seven kills and 13 assists against just a death in the 20:29-minute Game One victory.
ECHO, though, did not go down without a fight with Mark “Hadess” Lazaro putting up a perfect Lancelot performance to lead the 18-4 Game Two win and send the series to a decider.
He put up 12 kills and four assists in just 11 minutes and 25 seconds of game time en route to the SMART 5G MVP.
ECHO suffered its second-straight defeat of the week, dropping its slate to 2-3 but tying ONIC PH (3-0) at the second spot with eight points each.
Blacklist International will take on the skidding Bren Esports on Saturday at 8:00 PM while ECHO looks to bounce back against Nexplay EVOS earlier in that day at 6:00 PM.
