H2wo, Renejay put up vintage performance as NXPE stuns Omega in MPL PH

John Paul “H2wo” Salonga and Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcarse ran an old play from the playbook to lead Nexplay EVOS to its first win in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight via a 2-1 win against Omega Esports, Sunday night.

Omega Esports scored a crucial pickoff on Jeniel “YellyHaze” Bata-anon’s Eudora late in Game Three which gave them a free crack at the Luminous Lord.

Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera (Akai) and James “Jeymz” Gloria (Barats) then contested the Omega Esports contingent, delaying them to buy enough time for H2wo (Hayabusa) and RENEJAY (Paquito) to push a wide-open middle lane.

Omega Esports tried to get back in time, but was too late as the duo pulled off another heist against the same team by doing the exact split-pushing tactic they did back in the previous season.

Yawi was named the SMART 5G MVP with a kill, five deaths, and six assists in the 16-21 win which lasted for 23 minutes and 44 seconds.MPL-PH-8-NXPE-def-Omega-Game-3 H2wo, Renejay put up vintage performance as NXPE stuns Omega in MPL PH ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

“Sobrang saya po namin, sobrang saya kasi na-comeback e. Na-segue namin ni H2 e, kaya masaya sobra po,” said RENEJAY after the win.

The victory placed Nexplay EVOS at the seventh spot with three points through a 1-3 standing while Omega Esports (1-4) is now tied with TNC (2-2) with six markers each.

Nexplay EVOS started out strong in the series, bringing out a roaming Selena at the hands of Haze and a support Barats on Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera which led to a 14-8 Game One win.MPL-PH-8-NXPE-def-Omega-Game-1 H2wo, Renejay put up vintage performance as NXPE stuns Omega in MPL PH ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

Still, despite the impressive performances from the two, it was Renejay “RENEJAY” Baracarse who shone the brightest with four kills and four assists against one death en route to his first SMART 5G MVP plum in the 13:34-minute match.

Omega Esports, though, fought back in Game Two all thanks to the late game efforts of Patrick “E2MAX” Caidic’s Kagura which led to a 25-16 comeback win.MPL-PH-8-NXPE-def-Omega-Game-2 H2wo, Renejay put up vintage performance as NXPE stuns Omega in MPL PH ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

E2MAX finished with nine kills and 11 assists against just four deaths in 23 minutes and 44 seconds of game time.

Nexplay EVOS looks to make it two-straight wins against RSG PH on Friday at 6:00 PM while Omega Esports will face their good friends in BREN Esports later in that day at 8:00 PM.
