FlapTzy and Ribo joined hands in Game Three to lift BREN Esports over a gutsy Aura PH side, 2-1, to barge into the semifinals of the ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Invitational, Saturday evening.
Playing a four-core composition in the winner-take-all bout, Aura PH was able to shut down KarlTzy’s Brody early in the match to take a slight advantage. Unfortunately for them, though, the duo of FlapTzy (Lapu Lapu) and Ribo (Pharsa) rose up to the challenge for BREN Esports.
Ribo had already scored a maniac inside the seven-minute mark of the match. He then supplied the bulk of the damage for the reigning MPL-Philippines champion with 91,139. He tallied nine kills, three deaths, and 11 assists in the win.
But it was FlapTzy who turned the tides for BREN Esports, evening out skirmishes to keep his squad ahead of Aura PH. The super rookie finished with eight kills, two deaths, and 11 assists, all while collecting a game-high 13,548 net worth through a 686 gold per minute tally.
BREN Esports sealed the match with a four-man wipe, finishing the game at exactly 19 minutes and 44 seconds.
KarlTzy was held to just four kills along with five deaths and 12 assists. Pheww (Luo Yi) and Lusty (Chou) combined for five kills and eight assists for BREN.
On the other hand, Bennyqt led Aura PH with five kills, two deaths, and three assists. Hadess (Lancelot) was limited to just four kills, nine deaths, and seven assists.
Aura PH opened the series with the revival of their Diggie strategy to take a 1-0 advantage. BREN Esports, however, was able to bounce back in Game Two thanks to KarlTzy’s Lancelot and Pheww’s Selena.
BREN Esports will face MPL-Myanmar champion Burmese Ghouls. Meanwhile, MPL-Indonesia grand finalist Alter Ego will go up against fellow Indonesians Geek Fam ID. The semifinals are tomorrow starting at 11:00 a.m.
